One of History's Greatest Musicians Statement

[edit]

That statement doesn't seem supported by the sources, as talented and beloved he was. Cahlin29 (talk) 03:05, 30 October 2024 (UTC)[reply]

That statement doesn't seem right now in 2024, but back in 2016, most people were saying that he was one of the greatest. Looking forward sources though.84.54.70.120 (talk) 14:13, 2 November 2024 (UTC)[reply]
you are absolutely wrong. Mistag1958 (talk) 06:48, 6 January 2025 (UTC)[reply]
This Wikipedia entry should simply say he was one of the greatest musicians of all time. I was born in '99 and I understand this. BigJacksonn (talk) 22:13, 17 February 2025 (UTC)[reply]

The article mentions the movie Casablanca. Change the hyperlink to the movie, not the town. Habanerosilver (talk) 20:17, 2 February 2025 (UTC)[reply]

Of “his generation”

[edit]

This needs to be changed. Prince was widely regarded as one of the greatest musicians in history.** 82.42.70.100 (talk) 03:16, 20 February 2025 (UTC)[reply]

Yeah, no. The problem with "history" is that it is several thousand years in length, but Prince was only famous as a great musician for 36 years of it. Binksternet (talk) 04:21, 20 February 2025 (UTC)[reply]

Spelling

[edit]

Simultaneously is spelled wrong in the second paragraph of the intro. " In 1984, Prince became the first singer to simultaenously have a number-one film, album and single in the US, with the film Purple Rain, its soundtrack and his first Billboard Hot 100 chart-topping single "When Doves Cry"."
